Richard is a nearly-qualified Actuary with close to twenty years of experience in the Insurance industry. Richard’s acquired skills include pricing and valuation techniques, software application programming and project management. He has recently worked as an actuarial consultant on the remodelling of IFRS 17 best estimate liability values for a major South African insurer. Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana, a BCom (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town and a PhD in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
